Honestly, it couldn't be easier! To install after purchase:

1. Download your .zip file from your purchase email. Expand the .zip file. You'll see an Installation Guide PDF as well as a .zip file containing the presets.
2. Drag the .zip file to your desktop.
3. Open your Lightroom Classic CC, go to the Library Module - click File - Import Develop Profiles & Presets. Select the .zip file from your desktop (make sure it's not in your Downloads folder still and is on your Desktop. No need to expand the .zip file! If you do expand it, you'll see 14 files. (The preset and profile version of each.)
4. Click to the Develop module. The seven presets will be installed and visible in the Presets panel in their own Lauren Fair Presets group, and the seven profiles will also be visible in the Profile browser. You may need to restart Lightroom to see them after installation.
5.Click "Add to Favorites" on any of the presets and profiles for even easier access.
6. Each preset ONLY has the profile applied to it, except the Extra Grainy Deep Black & White Lauren Fair preset. This one contains some extra grain in the Effects section, so make sure you reset your image (or just reset the grain sliders to zero) when you're switching to a new preset or profile, or else the grain will carry over.

Tips for Using your New Presets & Profiles in Lightroom Classic CC:

1. Once I apply a preset, I always adjust the white balance / tint and exposure first. Often, these are the only two tweaks I need! We all shoot a little differently, so these two basic corrections should always be the first ones to get the proper exposure and white balance for each image.

2. You can adjust the strength of the Profile over in the Profile browser (underneath the Histogram)by using the Amount slider. Some images look great with a little less profile and some with a little more, over 100. Play around and see what you love most for your own look!

3. You can actually layer presets and other edits over the profiles. If you apply the Profile using the Profile Browser instead of the Preset, Lightroom will keep your edits in any of the sliders while only changing the Profile color tonality. This is a big reason why Profiles are so much more powerful! For example, you can update the White Balance and Exposure in an image, then play with applying each Profile individually within the Profile Browser once the white balance and exposure are corrected - and Lightroom will keep those basic edits on your image while you try different Profiles. Click Close when you're done applying the Profile.

4. I've made it easy by creating Presets that have the Profiles applied, but this is just another example of using the Profiles for your own personal editing preferences!

Q: Are these presets for film photographers only? I just shoot digital!

A: These presets are for everyone! I specifically designed these to be simple, easy to use, and not specifically "film-matching" only, but inspired by the best parts of film. They are beautiful presets designed for anyone who loves a light, romantic, true to life skin tone style of editing and gorgeous black & whites.

Q: What are some tips to get the best results with these presets?

A: I shoot my digital images in the following way to make the presets the easiest to use: I shoot perfectly exposed or a touch underexposed if I need to retain highlights. I always shoot with auto white balance on my Sony cameras, which I find speeds up the editing process tremendously and helps the presets apply beautifully from the get-go.I'd recommend adjusting the exposure and then warmth and tint in Lightroom as your very first adjustments to get it closest to the intent of the presets! I shoot my images primarily backlit (with the sun behind my subjects) and intentionally use light backgrounds and avoid deeply heavy shadows as a backdrop.

Q: How do I get the .xmp presets to sync to my phone?

A: If you have Lightroom Creative Cloud subscription, it's easy! We'll email you detailed instructions after purchase. If you do NOT have Lightroom Creative Cloud installed on your computer, you can purchase the Mobile-Only version of our presets!

Q: What's the difference in Profiles and Presets?

A: They're similar, but different! Profiles are essentially powerful color layers that have been created to implement all the color and tonality changes in one singular layer. Presets apply the changes using all the manual sliders in Lightroom. Your purchase includes PRESETS that include the PROFILE applied with no other adjustments, giving you greater control over your edits!
